NFL NEWS.
The NFL has fined the Atlanta Falcons $250,000 and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich 100,000 dollars for the prank phone call that rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders received. Ulbrich’s son 21-year-old Jax Ulbrich stole the number from his team issued iPad, while visiting his father. He then videoed himself making the call and posted on the internet.
O.C.G.A. 16-9-93 states that any person guilty of “computer invasion of privacy” shall be fined no more than $50,000 or imprisoned not more than 15 years or both.
My personal opinion is that Jax should’ve been jailed immediately. He’s a grown adult male who brazenly committed a felony and showed no remorse until after the media coverage started.
#3 pick Abdul Carter as well as #5 Mason Graham also received these “prank calls”.
These callers need to captured and prosecuted immediately. It’s not hard to trace a phone call, it’s a matter of does law enforcement or even the NFL actually want to.
The Buffalo Bills are signing WR Elijah Moore to a 1-year contract worth up to $5 million dollars.
The Baltimore Ravens have declined the fifth-year option on the rookie contract of starting center Tyler Linderbaum. The two-time All-Pro center would made $23.4 million dollars had it been picked up.
“It is our intention for him to remain a Raven long term” Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement.

They await the winner of the series between the Rockets-Warriors, who also played last night.
The #2 seeded Houston Rockets force a Game 6 with a 131-116 victory at home over the #7 seeded Golden State Warriors. PG Fred VanFleet led the team with 26 points. C Alperen Sengun had 9 rebounds and 9 assists to led in those categories.

NHL NEWS.

Two more teams punched their tickets into the 2nd round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs last night.
The Washington Capitals defeated the Montréal Canadiens 4-1 and mercifully finished this series off. Most of this series was unbearable to watch. The Capitals were clearly the better team, and it showed from the opening drop of the puck. Congratulations to Montréal for making the playoffs.
The Capitals will face off against the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2nd round of the playoffs. The dates and times of those games have yet to be determined.
The Florida Panthers will continue their defense of Lord Stanley’s Cup, after eliminating their instate rival, the Tampa Bay Lightning, with a 6-3 win last night. This was another series that never really seemed all that close.
The Winnepeg Jets took 3-2 series lead over the St. Louis Blues with a 5-3 victory at home. The big news out of this game is the Jets losing star center Mark Scheifele early in the first period after a big hit along the boards, which led to a brief scuffle. See below.
Scheifele skated away under his own power but never returned.
Game 6 of this series is Friday night, in St. Louis, at 8:00 PM on TNT, truTV, and Max.
