  • Head Football Coach Sherrone Moore of the University of Michigan speaking at a press conference, wearing a Michigan cap and jacket.

According to reporting from ESPN’s Dan Wetzel, the University of Michigan is set to suspend Head Football Coach Sherrone Moore for 2 games this upcoming season.

The “self-imposed” punishment is for the illegal advanced scouting and sign-stealing case, that happened under former head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The suspension is reportedly going to be for the 3rd and 4th games of the season, against Central Michigan and Nebraska.

Moore will be banned from any and all team related activities for that time span.

“Moore will also receive additional recruiting related penalties” Wetzel also said.

The NCAA could still punish the University, the team, and the coaches, in addition to whatever self-imposed penalties the school might put in place.

Moore “allegedly” deleted 52 text messages from former Michigan staffer Connor Stalions.

A final resolution from the NCAA is expected before the start of the upcoming season.

This “self-imposed penalty” will allow Moore to coach the team’s first 2 games of the season against the New Mexico Lobos at home and the Oklahoma Sooners in Norman, OK.

Logos of the University of Michigan and the University of Oklahoma on a black background.

Which is a very odd thing to do. Why let him coach two games, then suspend him?

In a previous article, I wrote about personally speaking to two students who attended the school. One of which, was in the “athletic world of the school” as they put it.

Both students told me, that not only was the cheating known by the coaching staff, but that it was encouraged by the staff and by the student body as well.

Former Michigan Wolverine Co-offensive coordinator Matt Weiss was charged by the United States government with 24 indictments in March of this year.

Head Football Coach Sherrone Moore of the University of Michigan, wearing a navy blue Michigan football shirt and cap, speaking into a headset on the sidelines.

14 counts of unauthorized access to computers and 10 counts of aggravated identity theft, from 2015 to 2023.

It’s been proven that the Michigan football staff and program not only deleted emails, but purposely and maliciously deterred and misled the NCAA investigation at every turn.

This “self-imposed punishment” is nothing more than a smoke show, in hopes of playing the victim card, once the NCAA hands down more punishment.

Michigan has a criminal culture problem in Ann Arbor, and has shown no real remorse for anything at all.

The college football world will continue to wait and watch, to see how the rest of this situation plays out.

The 2nd round of the Stanley Cup Finals is finally set.

It took double overtime, in an EPIC Game 7, for the C1 and President’s Cup winning Winnepeg Jets to finally put away the WC2 St. Louis Blues, with a 4-3 win, in front of an absolutely rocking crowd at home.

They Jets were down 3-1, going into the 3rd period, and looking like they were going to go down in the books as maybe the best #1 seeded team to lose in the 1st round, but with only 3 seconds left in the final period, C Cole Perfetti tied the game with his 2nd goal of the night and making his mark in the history books. See the historical goal below.

It was the latest game-tying goal in a Game 7 in the history of the NHL. The Stanley Cup Playoffs, as we know them have been around since 1927.

With both teams missing on chances in the 1st overtime period, it went to double overtime.

The 2nd overtime period was much the same as the first, with neither team being able to capitalize on their chances. The Jets were in the offensive zone and had the Blues defese on their skates, with excellent puck movement.

Jets defensmen Neal Pionk ripped a shot, almost from the blue line, and the world watched it get deflected, not once, but TWICE, and go right by Blues goalie Jordan Binnington. Game winning goal below.

The Jets will face the C2 seeded Dallas Stars in the 2nd round.

Game 1 of that series starts Wednesday night, in Winnepeg, at 9:30 PM (EST) on ESPN.

His first choice was the iconic #56, that was worn and retired by NFL Hall of Famer Lawerence Taylor. Carter was denied by Taylor himself, telling him to “make his own mark instead”.

Next was the famed #11 worn by Hall of Famer Phil Simms. That was also Carter’s number at Penn State.

  • An assistant coach wearing a black shirt and gray pants walks on the field, surrounded by players in red uniforms with silver helmets.

The assistant coaches for the 2024 National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes will be paid a total of $11.775 million dollars in 2025.

The highest paid will be new Defensive Coordinator Matt Patricia. He is getting $2.5 million dollars. That’s $300,000 more than former DC Jim Knowles got, though it is less than what Penn State is paying him this season, which $3.1 million.

Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers coach Brian Hartline will make $2 million dollars.

To me, Brian is worth every single penny if not more. Ohio State is WR U in college football. It’s a pipeline that is unmatched in the sport right now.

Co-Defensive Coordinator and Secondary Coach Tim Walton is making $1.8 million dollars after his promotion in the offseason.

Longtime Defensive Line Coach Larry Johnson will make $1.4 million dollars. His current contract expires in 2026.

This gives the Buckeyes 4 assistant coaches making over $1 million dollars in salary.

    The rest are as follows…..

    Tyler Bowen – OL Coach/Running Game Coordinator – $900,000.

    Matt Guerrieri – S Coach/Passing Game Coordinator – $900,000.

    Keenan Bailey – Co Offensive Coordinator/TE Coach – $650,000.

Carlos Locklyn – Running Backs Coach – $650,000.

    James Laurinaitis – Linebackers Coach – $500,000.

    Billy Fester – Quarterbacks Coach – $475,000.

All this money, tied together with Head Coach Ryan Day’s $12.5 million dollar salary, from his brand new 8-year contract; Ohio State will pay its football coaching staff over $24 million dollars.

This does not include all the Quality Control Coaches or Graduate Assistants, who are also a key part of the Ohio State coaching staff.

The NFL has fined the Atlanta Falcons $250,000 and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich 100,000 dollars for the prank phone call that rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders received. Ulbrich’s son 21-year-old Jax Ulbrich stole the number from his team issued iPad, while visiting his father. He then videoed himself making the call and posted on the internet.

O.C.G.A. 16-9-93 states that any person guilty of “computer invasion of privacy” shall be fined no more than $50,000 or imprisoned not more than 15 years or both.

My personal opinion is that Jax should’ve been jailed immediately. He’s a grown adult male who brazenly committed a felony and showed no remorse until after the media coverage started.

#3 pick Abdul Carter as well as #5 Mason Graham also received these “prank calls”.

These callers need to captured and prosecuted immediately. It’s not hard to trace a phone call, it’s a matter of does law enforcement or even the NFL actually want to.

    OTHER NEWS.

The PWHL (Professional Women’s Hockey League) will expand to 8 teams next season, selecting Seattle, Washington as it’s 2nd new franchise. Just last week they announced Vancouver would be added next season. This move puts the PWHL in a good position as they continue to expand westward. It’s only a 3-hour drive between the cities, so it comes with a built-in rivalry.

The Seattle team will go by PWHL Seattle to start, with its team colors being emerald, green, and cream. Home games will be played at Climate Pledge Arena, where their NHL counterpart the Seattle Kraken play.

The expansion draft for Seattle and Vancouver are to be announced at a later date by the league.

The other teams in the PWHL are the Boston Fleet, New York Sirens, Toronto Sceptres, Montreal Victoire, and Minnesota Frost.

I’m a fan of the PWHL and watch it whenever I can. My question for readers is…..are you interested or will watch women’s hockey???
